It was reported that Dae Jang Geum would be included in the text book of Hong Kong elementary schools. JG's indomitable spirit, diligence, endless effort for truth, and remarkable genius would be included. The books would be distributed to more than 1500 elementary schools in Hong Kong.

In another Chinese newpaper in mainland China, it was reported that some Chinese are against this because they regard it as cultural invasion of Korea to China. Actally, Koreans don't deny that Korea accepted a lot of culture from China. Even in DJG, you can find several Chinese cultures. And Koreans don't think them as cultural invasion of China. I think most Chinese are open minded to accept Korean culture in their culture.

It also has been reported that DJG has been included in a Taiwanese textbook as an example of Hallyu.
